Key Personnel

John Musungu – Managing Director John Musungu is one of Uganda’s leading land surveyors with over 35 years national and international experience. He is well acquainted with the different aspects of surveying including Cadastral, Topographical, Engineering Surveys, Photogrammetric and Digital Mapping, and Geodetic Global Positioning Systems surveys. He has participated in over 50 engineering projects (highways, water supply and drainage) that involve capture and processing of data using modern equipment. He was land surveyor for the project that developed the Resettlement Action Plan for the planned improvements under KIIDP and understands the physical, as well as technical surveying and titling aspects for land basing from his extensive work in the city as Principal City Surveyor, Acting City Planner and as a consultant on various relevant projects.

Mr. Balinda Birungi – Valuation surveyor Mr. Balinda Birungi is a Chartered Valuation Surveyor and has professional training and experience of over 30 years. He first worked in Chief Government Valuer’s office as an Assistant Valuer (1978 – 1980) . He later joined a consultant firm of surveyors, M/s Consultant Surveyors and Planners where he worked for nine (9) years (1981 – 1990) as an assistant to a Chartered Valuation Surveyor –the late C. Kasozi Ddamba. From 1993 – 2001 he worked with Uganda Electricity Board where he was in charge of the Wayleaves Section which deals with property valuations including valuation for compensation of land and property affected by the power lines. Since April 2001 he has been with Resco Property Consultants Surveyors as a Principal Consultant Valuer and as the Managing Director. He was the Principal Valuer on the project to carry out cadastral surveys, and valuation and documentation of the Resettlement Action Plan for Kampala Institutional Infrastructure Development Project. In addition, he continues to handle other valuation assignments.

David Businge – Accountant/ Finance Manager David Businge has over 30 years of experience in Finacial consultancy work and overall Finance project management. He is proficient in planning and strategic organisation having displayed his skills during the compensation of Kasese Airfield extension land acquisition exercise for Civil Aviation Authority.

Pauline Nassaka – CAD Operator Pauline holds a Diploma in Cartography and has two years experience in CAD design for Road reserve and wayleaves data analysis as demonstrated below: She joined Geomaps as a the lead CAD Operator in training for the Kampala Northern Bypass Road Construction Project where she was responsible for effecting the provision of the Road Design data and relating it to cadasral digital data at various locations of the designed road using AUTO-CAD and other related surveying software. Finally she is responsible for keeping the Project drawings soft copies up to date.

Denis Kidhuse – Valuation Surveyor Denis holds a Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Diploma in valuation and has had professional training and experience for over 10 years. He began as a technician trainee with Kampala City Council (KCC) valuation section. He is a qualified valuation surveyor. While with Resco, Denis has undertaken valuation for road reserve acquisition.

Clovis Mainuka – Valuation surveyor Has over 10 years of experience in inspection and valuation of Land building and crops for different purposes. He was actively involved in the valuation Land and Property on Kampala Northern Bypass Road Project.

Francis Okwaling – Valuation surveyor He has a diploma from Survey Training School Entebbe. He first worked with the Chief Government Valuer’s office until 1994. He was actively involved in the valuation Land and Property on Kampala Northern Bypass Road Project.
